Tracking health

Your analytics are only useful if they're actually recording. Tracking health watches your Google Analytics 4 setup and warns you when an event stops firing or a property goes quiet, before you make decisions on data that isn't there. You'll need Analytics connected for this.

What we look for

Two kinds of problems:

  • Property silent — your GA4 property has stopped reporting data altogether. Often a sign that tracking broke site-wide.
  • Event missing — an event you were reliably collecting (a form submit, a purchase, a sign-up) suddenly stopped showing up.

How serious is it?

SeverityWhat it means
HardA big, clear drop, an event that's gone to zero, or a property with no data.
SoftA meaningful dip that's worth a look but not a full outage.

Reading the issues

Issues are grouped by site. Each one shows the type of problem, the affected page or event, when we detected it, and its status. Click through to a site's tracking detail for per-page event charts, so you can see exactly when the numbers fell off.

A broken tag can quietly cost you weeks of data. Catching it early means you fix the tag, not your reports later.

Why this matters

Analytics break in silent ways: someone ships a new page template without the tag, a consent banner blocks tracking, a tag-manager change goes wrong. Nothing looks broken on the page, but your data stops. Tracking health is the smoke alarm for exactly that.
