Connecting Analytics

Connecting Google Analytics 4 lets SiteAlert watch your tracking for you, so you find out when an event stops firing or a property goes quiet. It powers tracking health. The setup mirrors Search Console and takes about a minute.

Connect your account

Open Integrations

Click Integrations in the left menu.

Connect GA4

Click Connect GA4. We send you to Google to sign in and approve access.

Approve access

Pick the Google account with your Analytics, and allow SiteAlert to read your data. Google brings you back automatically.

As with Search Console, we only read your Analytics data. We never change your GA4 setup.

Mapping properties to sites

Analytics groups data into "properties" too. Tell SiteAlert which GA4 property belongs to which site:

Find your property

Your GA4 properties appear in a list on the Integrations page.

Match it to a site

Use the dropdown to point each property at the right SiteAlert site.

A counter shows how many you've mapped. Once a property is mapped, we start watching its event volume and will flag drops in tracking health.

Map the property for every site whose analytics you care about. An unmapped property is one we can't watch, so a broken tag there would go unnoticed.

Disconnecting

You can unlink Analytics any time from the Integrations page. We forget the connection and unmap your properties, and you can reconnect whenever you want.
