Connecting Search Console

Connecting Google Search Console lets SiteAlert see how your pages perform in Google. It powers search performance (spotting pages that lose clicks) and sharpens cannibalization detection. It takes about a minute.

Connect your account

Open Integrations

Click Integrations in the left menu.

Connect Search Console

Click Connect Search Console. We send you to Google to sign in and approve access.

Approve access

Choose the Google account that owns your Search Console, and allow SiteAlert to read your data. Google brings you back automatically.

We only ever read your Search Console data, we never change anything in your Google account.

Mapping properties to sites

Search Console organises data into "properties" (one per site you've verified with Google). After connecting, you tell SiteAlert which property belongs to which of your sites.

Find your property

Each verified Search Console property appears in a list on the Integrations page.

Match it to a site

Use the dropdown next to a property to point it at the matching SiteAlert site.

A counter at the top shows how many properties you've mapped, so you know you've covered everything.

Don't see a property you expected? Make sure that site is verified in Google Search Console under the same Google account you connected.

Disconnecting

Changed your mind? You can unlink Search Console at any time from the Integrations page. We forget the connection and unmap your properties. You can reconnect later whenever you like.
