Privacy & security

Where your data lives and how we look after it.

Where is my data stored?

In the EU. SiteAlert is hosted in Frankfurt, Germany, so your data stays within Europe by default.

Is SiteAlert GDPR friendly?

Yes. EU hosting, read-only access to the data you connect, and we don't sell your data. If you have specific compliance questions, get in touch.

Do you sell or share my data?

No. Your data is yours. We use it only to provide the monitoring you signed up for.

Do you add any scripts or cookies to my website?

No. SiteAlert crawls your site from the outside, like a search engine. There's nothing to install and nothing added to your pages, so there's zero impact on your visitors.

Who can see my data?

Only the people you invite into your company, and their access depends on the role you give them. See Team & roles.

Is my connection to Google secure?

Yes. Connecting Search Console or Analytics uses Google's official, secure sign-in, and we only request read access. We never see your Google password.

How long do you keep my data?

We keep your page history so you can compare changes over time. If you cancel, your data is removed in line with our retention policy. Want the specifics? Ask us.

Can I delete my data?

Yes. Reach out and we'll help you remove your data. You can also export it first if you'd like a copy.

Is my data encrypted?

Yes, your data is protected in transit and at rest. For detailed security questions, contact us.
