Notification preferences
SiteAlert should tell you about the important stuff without flooding your inbox. Notification preferences let you decide exactly how much you hear, and how often. There are two levels: company-wide defaults, and your own personal settings.
Company defaults
Owners and admins set the defaults for the whole team under Settings → Notifications. For each severity level you choose how often emails go out:
| Setting | What happens |
|---|---|
| Immediate | Email the moment we detect it. Best for critical changes. |
| Hourly | Bundled into an hourly summary. |
| Daily | A once-a-day digest. |
| Off | No email for this severity (it still shows in the app). |
A sensible setup is immediate for critical, daily for the rest, but it's entirely up to you.
Your personal settings
You can override the company defaults for your own emails from your Profile. So if the team gets daily digests but you want criticals immediately, set that just for you, without changing anyone else's.
Snoozing emails
Going on holiday or heads-down on a project? You can snooze your email notifications for a while from your profile. You'll still see everything in the app when you're back, you just won't get emailed in the meantime.
Open your profile
Click your account in the bottom-left, then Profile.
Set your preferences
Adjust the per-severity frequency, or snooze emails until a date you choose.
Everything always shows up in your Notifications inbox inside the app. Email frequency just controls how often we nudge you, so turning emails down never means missing a change, only choosing when to look.
