The changes timeline
The changes timeline is the full record of everything SiteAlert has spotted across your sites. Every title tweak, every meta-description edit, every status-code change, it's all here, newest first.
What you'll see
Each row is one change we detected on one page. At a glance you get:
- The page it happened on
- The type of change (title, meta description, heading, canonical, redirect, and so on)
- How important it is (its severity)
- When we caught it

Filtering down to what matters
The timeline can get busy on bigger sites, so filters help you zoom in:
- By site — focus on one website
- By page — see the history of a single URL
- By change type — only titles, only redirects, only structured data, you choose
- By severity — hide the small stuff and show only the serious changes
- Include suppressed — by default we hide changes the noise filter caught. Flip this on if you want to see everything, including what we filtered out.
Reading a change
Open a change and you'll see exactly what happened: the before and after, side by side, with the difference highlighted. For visual changes you also get a screenshot diff so you can see how the page looked before and after.
This makes it easy to answer the real question: did this change matter, and who made it?
Marking something as noise
Spot a change that's just normal churn and you never want to hear about again? Mark it as noise from the detail view. SiteAlert will stop alerting on that kind of change going forward. It's the fastest way to keep your timeline clean.
The timeline is for browsing and triaging at your own pace. The changes that genuinely need attention also show up in your Notifications inbox, so you don't have to watch the timeline all day.
